The brief for this home renovation in a South Yarra apartment was to bring more light in and make better use of the living space. The kitchen and bathrooms needed upgrading. And the carpet needed replacing with floorboards. The current style was outdated and required a modern update and design refresh.
The Work We Did
This renovation project was in a block of apartments. So structural changes were limited and needed to be done carefully; and in keeping with body corporate requirements. The first step was to clean out the existing spaces. Then we took down a wall and inserted steel beams for support.
This opened up the kitchen and living area allowing more light to fill the apartment. The installation of a new kitchen, laundry and bathrooms completely transformed the apartment. The new timber flooring tied it all together making it easier to keep clean and look great.

The Result
Not only does the client love their home renovation in South Yarra, but it has also substantially increased the value of the property in a sought after suburb.
This is an older style brick apartment that was a bit dark and lacked space. Now it is open and airy with a nice kitchen and stylish bathrooms.
