Project Brief
The brief was to build a large extension in Croydon onto the back of the house for the new kitchen, butler’s pantry, single garage with carport, and kids outdoor area looking over the basketball half court and living area. The exterior needed a new roof and replacement of weatherboards. The extension needed to fit with the style of the weatherboard house.
The Work We Did
RQM assisted with planning and permits and built the new living room, kitchen with butler’s pantry and bathroom. We also constructed an ensuite and walk-in robe to the side next to the master bedroom.
The back was extended to include a new deck and alfresco area for entertaining.
A new carport/garage was added to fit with the rest of the house. The roof was replaced with new Colourbond roofing. And the front of the house was restyled to present as a new home.

The Result
This was a significant extension of the exiting property. We worked with the client to build around their needs and with their budget. As a company, we were particularly pleased with the outcome of this project. It blends high quality workmanship with a great building design. And takes into consideration the bones and structure of the existing house with a complimentary design approach.
Our client loves this Croydon extension and modernisation of their home. To them it really feels like a new house, which is what they wanted to achieve. The back area and open plan living provide lots of natural light.
The owners have also realised not just a dream home, but a significant increase in property valuation after renovation.
