How much will it cost?
The cost of a building renovation depends on the size and complexity of the project. Fixtures and fittings will vary in price, especially things like flooring, tiles, tapware, appliances, sinks and stone benchtops. Once the building design is approved we prepare a detailed cost for your project. We keep you informed along the way in case changes or additions are required along the way.
How long does it take?
Renovation project timeframes vary as no two jobs are exactly the same. A small bathroom renovation make take weeks. Whereas a kitchen and living room renovation may take a few months. Especially if walls are to be removed, foundations changed and new plumbing lines need to be excavated and installed. Talk to us and we can provide a timeline once the exact nature of your renovation is determined.
Do you help with plans and permits?
Getting plans and permits approved quickly depends on the council and how well the documentation has been prepared. We have been dealing with local councils for years and know what they need for building permits. We can advise you and work with you on plans and building design.
Can you help with building design?
We have completed many renovations and have a good idea of what works and what doesn’t. Building design needs to consider both structural and engineering factors, as well as aesthetics and interior design. We can advise what has worked on similar projects and help you plan the spaces and flow in your house. Remember to consider how your design will maximise the natural light in your house.
Do I need a permit for a renovation?
Generally for non structural work no permit is required. But if walls are removed or window locations are changed then you will need a permit.
Do I need a registered builder to do my renovation?
Any work $10,000 will require a registered builder and a signed contract.
