Project Brief
The brief was to build two townhouses on a corner sloping block for a dual occupancy project in Boronia. This included the demolition of the original sheds and garden and clearing the block. The client was a property investor joint venture group who needed assistance organising plans and permits for the two storey townhouses with lockup garages.
The Work We Did
After plans and permits were developed and approved, we cleared the block in readiness for the foundations. This enabled our construction team to build both townhouses at the same time.
RQM built the 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms townhouses and organised the specialist trades for plumbing and electrical work. We also project managed the construction for the investors.
Features of this project included:
- Successful sub-division and sensible use of space to fit the two properties and courtyards.
- Brand new 3 bedroom and 2.5 bathroom townhouses that sold off the plan.
- Wooden stairs and floorboards downstairs.
- Landscaping and driveways.
The Result
This project was built to the proposed schedule and within budget. Our careful project management ensured the right balance between construction affordability and quality fixtures and finishes.
The client group sold the houses and made money. And the new owners were very happy with the purchase and to take over the properties.
